Awards have included 2007 Middle East Lighting Design Awards, 2010 & 2011 Lighting Design Awards and the 2011 LUX Awards for ‘Lighting Design Practice of the year & Architectural Lighting Project of the year’. In 2013 DALD was Highly Commended at the Lighting Design & LUX Awards for SKY Skills.
David Atkinson
David Atkinson is the creative director of DALD, his projects have included hotels, contemporary architectural projects, retail, heritage sites, interactive museums and Landscape lighting.
David studied at LAMDA and after spending several years in theatre, commercial presentation, music, fashion and television he established as an independent designer for architectural installations.
He is an associate member of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) and the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP). David was awarded Lighting Designer of the Year in 2011.
