CLL . Concept Lighting Lab is an architectural lighting design studio based in Tucson, Arizona/USA.
Our primary focus is designing architectural lighting solutions that are integral to the project’s architectural language.
Our interest lies in creating atmospheric space that is both responsive to context and sensitive toward the end-user – a space that moves physically and emotionally.
We aim to create a balanced atmosphere that supports a sensual and soothing environment; we also understand the science of measuring and interpreting light. We provide detailed specifications and evaluations; We work to comply with respective code requirements and meet given budget restrictions. We practice a rigorous iterative process of designing, studying, and testing ideas and strategies; We search for refined and manageable lighting and interior design solutions that will support the proposed lifestyle for the client, in addition to serving and supporting the vision of the architect and ensuring a comforting and soothing environment for the end-user.
The projects we work with range from indoor and outdoor lighting proposals and solutions for small-scale specialty lighting, remodel and retrofits, as well as high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.
We work with a diverse client base, including artists, designers, and architects, and we also enjoy direct private client collaborations. In addition, we lecture, lead workshops, co-teach, and design lighting solutions for temporary art installations.
