My work crosses the boundaries between art and engineering and combines Sculpture, Lighting Design and Electrical Installation. I provide a one-stop shop, from design right through to installation, which saves clients time, money and stress.
After achieving a First Class BA (Hons) degree from Falmouth University in 2007, I trained to become an NICEIC Approved Electrical Contractor and then gained the Advanced Lighting Design Certificate awarded by the Lighting Industry Association. These skills give me the expertise to answer the individual needs of every project with a highly artistic yet thoroughly functional and sustainable solution.
My business encompasses every aspect of lighting design, and the designing and making of lights. I also make sculpture both to commission and for exhibitions. In 2011, I exhibited twice at the Eden Project and I represented the NICEIC at a Parliamentary Reception and on Sky News as part of their PR campaign to encourage more women into the electrical industry.
I work on residential and commercial projects both in London and the West Country. Recent commercial and public projects include Jubilee Warehouse, Jubilee Wharf Office Barge, Miss Peapod’s Cafe, Penryn Museum, Falmouth Art Gallery, and Tremenheere Sculpture Garden (lighting for Penny Saunders’ Restless Temple and James Turrell’s Skyspace).
My desire is that my designs transform their surrounding environment so that they have a positive impact on the community of people using the space – for example by being contemplative, thought-provoking or playful.
